Formed in late 1992 and debuting in 1994, Dreadnaught is one of Australia’s longest-running heavy bands. Since their 1996 debut album, Body.Blood.Skin.Mind and the sophomore release Idiosyncrasy, Dreadnaught have been forging a unique sound that blends elements of thrash, death and, groove metal, rock, prog, and atmospheric music.
The journey includes 3 releases on Roadrunner Records (Down To Zero (2000), One Pieve Missing (2001), Dirty Music (2005)), before returning to independence. They released the self-titled Dreadnaught in 2009, followed by extensive touring and the 2016 vinyl debut, Caught The Vultures Sleeping. Despite lineup changes and challenges over three decades, Dreadnaught has remained active and resilient. Their next album is anticipated in late 2024, promising to continue their distinctive heavy music legacy.
